Why Did I Stop Losing Weight?
If you are asking the question, why did I stop losing weight, you will probably have started to eat a healthy diet. You might even be doing exercise and perhaps it has been working perfectly. So, what has changed, or what are you doing that might cause you to stop.
This question can be easily answered. If you think about what your body does when it loses weight you will see that you just need to make a few adjustments to your program. When you start out you will diet and eat a lot less. This is ideal because your body will have a lot of excess fat to burn, so you shouldn’t eat a lot of calories to lose weight.
If you are aiming to lose weight the one thing that you should keep in mind is that you should only lose up to three pounds a week, so you have to set your end goal around this number. Any diet that promises faster weight loss than this is not likely to be healthy for you. It’s better to lose weight steadily than yo-yo up and down.
You should start eating a bit more and also eat about 6 times a day. This will make the body realize that you are not starving it and it will function properly. Eating less quantity but more frequently is an excellent technique.
Another reason that you might not have noticed any further weight loss is if you are doing weight training. Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are lifting weights, or even just doing light weights to tone your muscles you could be just compensating the fat loss for the muscle gain according to a scale.
When you lift weights you should actually gain weight according to a scale, because muscle weighs more than fat. If you have no change, then you are actually losing fat weight as you gain muscle weight. All these things have to be taken into account when you look at weight loss and why you might not be losing weight as fast as you used to.
