The Truth About Calories

Building Muscle Burning Fat!

In this article I’m going to reveal one of the most important strategies for your weight loss efforts that can make the difference between success or failure for your building muscle burning fat goal this year! This is extremely important, so please pay attention because if you skip over this you can forget about your weight loss, period. This is an absolute must for weight loss, and while you may have heard it talked about, there’s one thing that that you probably haven’t heard of before, please read on….

Many fitness trainers, diet books and so-called weight-loss experts have claimed that calories don’t matter, that all you have to do is avoid certain types of foods and eat particular foods to lose weight, we’ve all seen these ‘evil foods’ written about in magazines, or talked about on TV and so are thrown into the proverbial ‘food bin’ forever. Many ‘gurus’ make reference to the theory that carbs drive insulin which in-turn drive fat. In other words carbohydrates are the main cause for obesity, rather than excess calories….

A popular theory I’ll grant you, but wrong!

While the subject of nutrition is more complex than calories-in versus calories-out, the quality of your food and content is still important for health and fitness. What you choose to eat will affect your energy intake, and we could go as far as to say that over consumption of refined sugar, fizzy drinks (carbs) and starch could be a major factor leading to obesity.

But that does bring us back to the mount of calories consumed as the link in the chain in causing the overweight individual, not the carbs per se. Whatever approach you adopt to lose weight, high-protein low-carb, high-fat low-carb, low-fat etc, the plain fact is you will need a decrease in the calories you consume each day, to reach your fat loss goal.

But here’s the thing…

It’s been said a thousand times before, and I’m not revealing anything new here ‘eat less and exercise more’, but if you fail to concentrate on decreasing your calorie intake, you may end up wasting your time and effort completely. You may think you are doing well by taking up an exercise regime, but if you are eating more to compensate without realising it, you’ve wasted your time. Again, if you go on a diet (please don’t) but exercise or move around less, you are wasting your efforts (with 95% of all diets you are wasting your time anyway, more on that later).

Not keeping a check on your efforts either way will lead to disappointment and you will give up on your goal of building your muscle and burning your fat. So, focusing on a calorific deficit, is more detailed than just ‘exercise more eat less’, which is why you need to understand this advice and follow it onto your weight loss goals

The main point here is that a decrease in the amount of calories you eat, is what’s required to lose weight, but also the quality of the calories you eat, coupled with a good exercise program, focusing on building muscle and burning fat, which is the main strategy behind the Building Muscle Burning Fat system.

Just because this fact seems obvious, don’t dismiss it as such, I have seen too many people neglect this fact to their dismay.

Set goals, train consistently, eat healthily, expect success!
